I've spent years interviewing PhDs and veterinary nutritionists to learn how to actually evaluate pet food.

I didn't always know how to do that though.

I used to promote brands without fully understanding how to judge them. I even got paid to do it.

But those days are over.

Every review on this page is unsponsored. And they always will be.

Now I evaluate brands based on what actually matters:

• Formulation
• Transparency
• Safety testing

And whether the company can answer basic questions about their own food.
