You're Not Alone...
I was standing in a pet food store in 2024 during our book tour with Kenzie.
And I just stopped.
I looked around at the shelves. Hundreds of brands. Every single one had some version of "natural," "holistic," or "vet-recommended" on the bag.
Every single one looked like the best option.
I'd been feeding homemade for a while at that point. But before that? I was one of these people.
Since 2021, I'd switched foods more times than I can count. I fell for the marketing. I promoted brands on our channel that I now wouldn't feed to my own dogs.
I thought reading the ingredient list meant I knew what I was looking at. I didn't.
And the harder I looked for answers, the worse it got. Half the internet is screaming that vets are paid off by kibble companies. The other half says influencers don't know what they're talking about. Everyone has an opinion. Nobody has the receipts.
You just want a straight answer. And you can't find one.
That's the part that stuck with me in that pet store. It wasn't just that there were too many options. It was that the whole industry profits off of you being confused. The more overwhelmed you are, the easier it is to sell you something.
I wanted something that would've saved me years of guessing, switching, and wasting money on food that looked great on the bag but didn't hold up when you looked at the data.
So we built it.
